CICIAMS was conceived in 1928 in Basel, Switzerland and hosted the 1st World Congress of Catholic Nurses in Lourdes, France in 1933 to provide an international professional organization for Catholic nurses and health care workers. TAX STATUS: CICIAMS is a INPO (International Non-Profit Organisation) incorporated in both Italy and Vatican City. The General Secretariat is in the Vatican and its Bank Accounts are in the IOR (Instituto per le Opere di Religione) – that is the Vatican Bank. TIN #: 92036030580 (Italy). ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION : CICIAMS is funded solely through annual member association, associate and individual member annual fees which provide an office in Vatican City and part time Executive Secretary. Member fees are due June 30 each year. Fees may also be brought to the biennial General Council meeting.
