Welcome to our CICIAMS web site.
CICIAMS is an international non-governmental organization (NGO).We are in collaboration with the Vatican, as a private Catholic non-governmental organization (CNGO), upholding the teachings of the Catholic Church.
CICIAMS has membership in the Civil Society at the United Nations (UN) and the World Health Organization (WHO). We are the only Catholic NGO at the WHO. We also have NGO status at numerous international intergovernmental organizations around the world. CICIAMS collaborates with other NGOs and CNGOs in doing God’s work on the global level.
There are five regions in CICIAMS. The regions are the English Speaking African Region, the French Speaking African Region, the Asian Region, The European Region and North American Region. Presently we have two national organizations as members, Mexico and Brazil.
Regional conferences are held once every four years. Also, our CICIAMS World Congress is held once every four years. Coming up is the CICIAMS World Congress in Monterrey Mexico, March 2009. You do not have to be a member of CICIAMS to attend this Congress. So, come along and join us in Mexico.
Now, I thank you for coming to our CICIAMS web site and welcome you to continue exploring the web site.
God bless,
Marylee J. Meehan, R.N., M.A.
International President of CICIAMS
